Seismic Recruitment Job description

Oil and gas companies in Nigeria need seismic processors to start projects ASAP.

Note: Applicants must be ready to provide evidence / proof of ability and previous work experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

Seismic processors will use and manipulate geophysical data, including not only 2D and 3D seismic data, but will have in-depth knowledge of pre- and post-seismic conversion and verifiable records. AVO analysis. Experience using various seismic interpretation software packages and the ability to extract information from geophysical data is highly desirable. A good understanding of seismic data processing is also expected. The preferred candidate for the proposed role will be highly organised, creative and have excellent communication skills.They are deaf

Proven track record in advanced geophysical data management and interpretation, including pre- and post-seismic conversion, seismic multi-attribute extraction and AVO analysis.

10-15 years of experience

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in geophysics, engineering geology, applied mathematics, or a closely related technical field.

Industry experience in integrated collection and processing of surface geophysical data including seismic, EM, GPR, magnetic, gravity and resistance for geotechnical and environmental applications.

Industry experience in marine geophysical data acquisition and processing, including seismic techniques, side scan sonar, and single and multibeam bathymetric sonar.

Working knowledge of using specialized data processing software

Ability and willingness to travel (up to 40%) and sometimes for long periods.

Proficient in using computer programs to manage and interpret geophysical data.

Good understanding of seismic data processing steps and processes.

Excellent customer communication and presentation skills.
