The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program in Cambridge is designed to provide fully funded opportunities for talented students from marginalized and economically disadvantaged communities in Africa to complete master’s studies, develop transformative leadership, and contribute to climate change and sustainability in Africa. .

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program covers travel and visa, housing, meals, laptop allowance, health coverage and living stipend and tuition. It also provides stipends for dependent children who can become scholars.

This is a full-fee award for Master’s students, which covers tuition, maintenance and expenses (such as travel, visa fees and immigration health supplement). There are allowances for dependent children accompanying students at Cambridge.
In addition to full funding, the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program in Cambridge will also provide support for scholars to travel to the UK and abroad (including visas if required). (b) To apply for a Master’s course, a fee of £50 must be paid before submitting the application. However, the fee is automatically waived for most African countries – see the list in Section 3 – Foreign Applicants. If you are from a country that does not automatically waive fees and the fees impose a financial barrier on you, you can waive these fees manually – complete and return the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship Program Fee Waiver form, with the required supporting documents attached, to mastercardscholarship@admin.cam. ac.uk You must complete these steps before submitting your application through the Applicant Portal.

Second Step:

Anyone interested in applying to the Mastercard Foundation must fill out a separate Mastercard Foundation Scholar Program application form by January 5, 2023, explaining how you qualify. To obtain a unique “Application Number” that you will need to enter in your scholarship application, you must first submit your application through the Applicant Portal above.
